Q: Oct. 2007 will be the end of my 2 year waiting period. I want to proceed with the divorce decree and settle the propertly later on. Will the divorce decree stop the spousal support so I can use that money to pay for litigation and court fees? Any members have experience with this...I would like to hear from you.
A: Most counties do not bifurcate. Most counties will not let you divorce and settle the property issues later. Spousal support ends on divorce, however, your case may or may not be an alimony case
