Duration and Termination of Alimony
The court must determine the duration of the alimony award (your Court Order). The award may be for a definite or an indefinite period of time depending on the circumstances of your case.
An alimony award may be modified, suspended, terminated or reinstated or a new order may be made upon CHANGED CIRCUMSTANCES of a substantial and continuing nature. Any such modification may apply only prospectively.
