Family Law Reform - Operation Sunlight

Today I would like to shed some light on a Pennsylvania Family Law reform / support group named Operation Sunlight. Operation Sunlight is a support / reform group of fathers based out of Lancaster PA that have experience dealing with the often unjust Pennsylvania child support, custody, and divorce laws. They have some excellent reading material at their site, including Some Plain Truth For Men, a very good read for young fathers that are involved or could potentially be involved in family law cases in Pennsylvania.

Here is an excerpt from the Operation Sunlight website:

"We’ve been there. We’ve had our families destroyed, our children hurt, our dreams shattered. And we have stood there silently as we were blamed for everything. We’ve learned the hard way about bogus abuse allegations, dishonest lawyers and judges, unequal custody, so-called "support" money, the Domestic Relations system, some of Pennsylvania’s bad laws and the policies which go against the law (but which are still very real).

We have watched our children being hurt by a system that claims hypocritically to work in their "best interest". We have worried that our children will simply be the next generation of victims. We have struggled to pay huge support quotas and stay out of jail. We have seen how much this is really just about easy money and taking cheap shots at men.

We’ve also seen how others are affected: the second wives, mothers, sisters, who love the men that are caught up in this system have their own unique pain. It’s an inhuman system. "
